Our horses are a bit more spread out, location wise, than they used to be, but
we would welcome the opportunity to show you our horses and are always
available to answer questions about our program. We feel Lonesome Country
Quarter Horses has a bright future and we hope to be "your source for solid
ranch geldings".

Lonesome Country Quarter Horses is a breeding and training operation. We sold our
horses at auction for three years and have built a solid reputation for representing our
horses honestly and selling to the highest bidder, not "passing out" our horses because
the bid wasn't high enough. We strive to sell horses with good dispositions, correct
conformation and solid pedigrees that have been ranch-raised and used, making them
perfect candidates for performance and arena events as well as a willing partner on the
ranch or weekend trail ride.

With so many "trader horses" on the market today at various sale barns and production
sales, it is our goal to ride what we raise and sell one owner and/or one trainer horses.
We have made friends with several reputable breeders that has enabled us to fill in the
gaps for our ride horse program. The majority of the horses we have sold and sell that
we haven't raised have been picked up as weanlings or yearlings from these friends
and incorporated into our program as if we had raised them. We have done our
homework and know what we like and where we can find the disposition, trainability
and ranch horse ability from other breeding programs. Selling solid geldings, ones that
we have enjoyed riding and are excited to sell to someone else, should help to keep
our program one that can be trusted. Having integrity in this business is very
important to us.

We are believers in the Doc Bar horses, Doc O Dynamite in particular. We
feel there are many good horses in the industry today and there are good
and bad in all pedigrees. However, in our experience, the Doc Bar bred
horses have consistently possessed the mind and ability to become the type
of horses we wish to raise and sell.

Regarding our mares, most of them carry foundation breeding. Some are more
performance bred and some do go back to Doc Bar, or at least Three Bars, somewhere in
their pedigrees. We feel this gives us the opportunity to raise colts with the mind and
ability from the Doc Bar breeding to the substance, size, and bone more often found in the
foundation bred horses.
