Lonesome Country Quarter Horses is owned and operated by Craig and Shelley
Benzing, Brian and Suzy Benzing and Oran & Sylvia Benzing, Brian & Craig's parents. |
|
Craig is working for the Swanson's at Shipwheel Cattle Company and uses his geldings
in the day to day operation; riding, roping, moving cattle, etc. Shelley is a speech therapist working at Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls, MT, and at the hospital in Havre, MT. Their daughters, Kaydance and Shyla enjoy riding alot as well as their school activities. Kaydee, a sophomore at Chinook High School, has been active in 4-H riding events and now in high school rodeo. Shyla is in 2nd grade and enjoys riding her horse "Pepperoni." |
|
Brian and Suzy live at Winifred, Montana where Brian is employed by Bold Ranch and
Feedlot. Suzy is the Classified Manager for the Lewistown News-Argus newspaper. They have 4 children, Beka, Kayla, Justin and Bailey. Brian has a few ranch-used broke geldings for sale each year as well as some younger horses. The feedlot provides Brian a great opportunity for starting and training colts but he won't use them in there until they are three, giving him the opportunity to sell some older horses. Beka is a sophomore at MSU-Bozeman. Kayla is her dad's right hand gal with the horses. Justin prefers machinery to horses but does fit some riding in now and again and Bailey, our little-ist cowgirl, has dreams of being a rodeo star someday. |
|
Brian and Craig's experience in the horse industry covers over 25 years of breaking and training
horses, some for themselves, many for others. They have each developed methods of training that produce solid-minded, dependable horses that can go in many different directions. |
