Buster is the foundation of Lonesome Country Quarter Horses, we
started all this because of him. He has truly been a pleasure to own
and though he was kicked as a 4-year-old and left less than 100%
fertile, he still produces a select number of awesome colts for us
every year.

We are believers in the Doc Bar horses, Doc O Dynamite in particular,
as they are so versatile. Buster's pedigree reflects generations of
versatile, successful horses, from Doc O Lena to Poco Bueno, Doc's
Sug to Gay Bar King. There are money earners in Buster's pedigree
along with the undisputed King/Three Bars cross several times. With
versatility being a key component in the Quarter Horse Industry
today, we feel we have something to offer horse professionals and
enthusiasts in Buster's colts. Combined with the mares in his herd,
Buster's colts can truly go any direction a person wants to take them.
They are so trainable, willing and smart, combined with super
conformation and agility. They are real athletes.

Buster's disposition is probably one of his best traits. Of course
you can't leave out a poppin' wither, low hocks, good feet,
bone, cow sense, speed, agility, etc., but disposition is what
many of today's horses are lacking and what most people
need. Fortunately Buster throws his good disposition into his
colts. They are really nice horses and that comes from our
customers responses, not just us who are, admittedly, biased.
In addition, they are cow horses, they go to cattle and love
doing it! We've been pleased to hear from our customers how
fun these horses are to ride on cattle as they are so good at it.

All that said, Buster is just downright fun! He has performed in Big
Sandy's Ranch Rodeo a few years ago (see photos at right), been
used extensively as a ranch horse, moved broodmare bunches, been
roped off of both in the branding pen and in the pasture, has carried
two Miss Rodeo Montana contestants to Horsemanship competition
wins and been a horse that Brian has never questioned being able to
throw a kid on for a ride with Dad. We've let several friends ride him
to move cattle and the only complaint we've had is that he's so cowy
that you'd better be paying attention or he'll zig and you'll zag!
